Roof down, chrome gleaming, and a face-to-face cabin built for conversation rather than just transport, the Bramwith Landaulette brings a different kind of vintage charm to weddings across London and Essex. It's a car designed to be part of the day, not just a way of getting to it.
The “landaulette” in its name refers to a fold-back rear roof, a feature that sets this car apart from most other vintage hires. Lower it on a sunny day for open-air photographs as you arrive, or keep it raised for a fully enclosed, weatherproof ride, the choice is yours, and it takes only moments to switch between the two.
Step inside and the seating tells its own story. Rather than facing forward in rows, passengers sit in a conference-style arrangement, facing one another across the cabin.
For a bride travelling with her parents or bridesmaids, that small detail changes the whole journey, from a quiet ride alone in the back to a shared moment before the ceremony even begins.
Look closely and the Bramwith rewards it. Large chrome headlamps, a formidable front grille, and wire-spoked wheels with white-wall tyres all nod to its 1930s Model A Ford styling, hand-finished by coachbuilders who’ve kept the period detailing faithful rather than simplified.
The cabin carries the same care. Cream leather seating, soft carpeting, and enough room for a wedding dress with a full train to settle in without a struggle, this is a car where the doors open fully, rather than the narrow gap you’d get on a modern saloon.
Seating up to seven, the Bramwith works just as well for a bride travelling with her whole bridal party as it does for a couple wanting the open-top photographs on the way to the reception.
Some wedding cars are simply driven. The Bramwith Landaulette is one you experience, roof folded back, chrome catching the light, and the whole bridal party riding together rather than apart. Get in touch with Dorchester Luxury Travel to check availability across London, Essex, and Hertfordshire.

Most wedding cars are chosen and forgotten about until the day arrives. The Bramwith tends to stick in people’s minds well before that, usually from the moment a couple realises the roof actually folds back.
A sunny morning means the option of arriving with the roof down, wind in the photographs, chrome catching the light. An overcast one means none of that matters, the cabin seals up just as comfortably as it opened.
Inside, the conference-style seating does something similar. Instead of the bride riding alone with her thoughts, she’s sitting opposite her bridesmaids or her parents, which tends to make for a calmer, more talkative ride to the church than a forward-facing limousine allows.
The Bramwith Landaulette is available across Essex, including Chelmsford and Brentwood, and throughout London. Like most genuinely vintage cars, it tends to get booked early for summer weekends, so it’s worth checking your date sooner rather than later.
